Treatment

Before you enter the treatment room, the dental nurse will ask you to leave any loose belongings like your coat or bag in the designated box provided which also includes wallets and mobile phones. Your mask will also be left in the box until after your treatment.

Upon entering the treatment room our teams will be wearing extra Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). In order to provide you with the right care and service they cannot adhere to social distancing recommendations, so PPE has to be worn. This may mean that it is more difficult to see our colleagues and clinicians’ faces, but please be reassured that they will be the usual friendly team.

Due to many of our procedures producing aerosols (which could potentially carry the virus) we are limited in what treatments we can provide at present. This will restrict the amount of treatment options available to you. We will however do our very best to help care for your dental problem at hand.

On leaving the surgery you collect your personal belongings from the box outside of the surgery and then head towards the check-out reception desk. This is where you can sign any treatment plans (with the pens that you have brought) and if needed,  you pay for any treatment that you have received (card payments preferred). You will also be able to use the hand sanitiser again on your way before leaving the practice.
